Hi, I’m Ali!

When I’m not working you can find me skiing, climbing, and biking or making things with clay.

When it comes to work, I believe that the best products aren’t just a collection of features, they are the result of a team that cares about the people who use their products. From my time at Facebook to leading design at Navan, I’ve focused on the intersection of human-centric design and technology to make their lives easier.

Currently, I’m enjoying working through the complexity of AI to turn it into experiences that feel simple, intuitive, and helpful.

To me, design leadership is about more than just outputting features, it’s about building a culture of collaboration, scaling organizations that value craft, and mentoring designers to think strategically. At Navan, I managed a team of 4-5 designers over 5 years and retained all but one of them. I built that by investing early in growth conversations, clear leveling, and giving people real ownership over ambiguous problems.
